If you are a landlord, and you have a significant history in this business, you will appreciate this site. If you are not a landlord you should read this site cover to cover before you purchase or agree to manage your first property. This is definitely not a business for wimps. This is one nasty business. One bad tenant can ruin your whole life and force you into bankruptcy; I’m not joking. Hopefully my experiences will alert you and educate you placing you in a superior position when dealing with your tenants. Negotiating from a position of power is always better than negotiating from a position of weakness.
Tenants can be problematic. The issues range from 0 – 10 with a 10 being a complete friking nightmare. When dealt with a 10, 10 being worst, you will never forget that tenant. They will have scarred you, disrupted your life, financially injured you and when you rid your life of that individual or family, you’ll feel like you’ve emerged from the worst personal relationship on planet earth.
A landlord must task the duties of an attorney, handyman, skip tracer, negotiator, financial analyst, appraiser, broker, spy master, ninja, and navy seal or army ranger. We all intend, when we begin, to make landlording a part time or full time business or perhaps you inherit some property and it just works out that way. Many tenants look at it as a game, a game they intend to win. If you intend to win you’ll need to become a warrior landlord. Let’s get started. Learn to be a warrior landlord! Win the battle, win the war.
